The adjustment method when the moisture content of the dehydrated cake of the stacked screw sludge dehydrator becomes high or on the high side


The adjustment of the moisture content and processing capacity of the dehydrated cake is realized by the "back pressure plate" and the "screw shaft inverter (INV-1)".


①The setting of the back pressure plate gap


Reduce the moisture content??? By reducing the gap of the back pressure plate, the pressure in the main body of the stacked screw is increased, thereby reducing the moisture content.


Increase the moisture content??? By increasing the gap of the back pressure plate, the pressure in the main body of the stacked screw is reduced, thereby increasing the moisture content.


※Precautions, please do not adjust the gap of the back pressure plate below 4mm.


The smaller the gap of the back pressure plate, the lower the moisture content of the mud cake, but it will also cause a great burden on the machine, resulting in faster wear of the vulnerable parts (swimming ring, screw shaft).


②Set the screw shaft inverter (INV-1)


Reduce moisture content??? The frequency of the frequency converter is reduced, the rotation speed of the screw shaft decreases, and the processing capacity is reduced accordingly. The thickening and dewatering time of the sludge in the main body of the snail becomes longer, and the moisture content is reduced.


Increase the water content??? The frequency of the inverter is increased, the rotation speed of the screw shaft increases, and the processing capacity increases accordingly. The concentration and dehydration time of the sludge in the main body of the snail becomes shorter, and the moisture content increases.


※Notes: After the rotation speed of the screw shaft is changed, the parts of the machine should also be adjusted accordingly.


The decrease of sludge concentration will lead to the decrease of solid dosage, which will cause the moisture content to increase. As the solid dosage is reduced, the pressure in the main body of the snail is reduced, and the dehydration performance is reduced.


In this case, increase the amount of mud to achieve the effect of increasing the amount of solids added.


※In the case of increased mud intake, please do not allow the liquid level to be higher than the high liquid level (H position) in the flocculant mixing tank, and ensure the continuity of dehydration through appropriate adjustments.


※In the case of an increase in the amount of sludge, if the concentration of sludge becomes higher, it will exceed the normal processing capacity of the stack of snails, and the level of sludge will often be higher than the level of the motor on the flocculation mixing tank ( H position), this will cause the following symptoms, so the sludge concentration should be checked regularly.


The moisture content and processing capacity of the dehydrated cake are unstable.


1. The amount of sludge supplied to the main body of the snail is unstable.


2. Foreign matter on the electrode causes the pump to stop.


3. When the pump is in regular intermittent operation, the service life will be shortened.


The wear of the vulnerable parts of the machine will cause the original performance and efficiency of the machine to not be fully utilized.
